“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.” (Arthur C. Clarke)
Are we alone in the universe? We’ll take a look at why it seems reasonable to think that there is, at least, microbial life out there. But what about intelligent life? Why haven’t we been visited, or struck up a conversation with intelligent beings from elsewhere? Is it wise to even wish for such contact? Join Jeff Rodgers, Director of the Bishop Planetarium for Einstein’s Circle this Wednesday for a rousing contemplation of humankind’s place in the universe. 3:00 to 4:30 PM in USFSM’s Selby Auditorium.
Registration is suggested. Call 941-359-4296
