This course will be devoted to a lively examination of three great plays by three important authors: Arthur Miller (All My Sons), Clifford Odets (Golden Boy), and Oscar Wilde (The Importance of Being Earnest). By combining readings from each play with in-depth discussion and analysis, we will understand why these plays are so lasting and memorable. We will spend two full class sessions on each play. The course will be unique in that the instructor is a professional actor and director who will help students develop the ability to analyze and understand these works more fully.
Silver Member: $90; Gold Member: $81.
