FA18-54 HOW DEMOCRACIES END
Thursdays: 1-2:20 p.m.
6 Sessions: Oct. 11-Nov. 15
TEMPLE BETH SHOLOM
Craig Hill and Regan Teague

How and why does a seemingly successful democracy fail? How and why does a specific historical democracy form, and what is it trying to accomplish? This course is a timely look into the historical structure of democracies, their strengths and weaknesses, and what history tells us about the future of our own governmental system. We will explore what happens during and after a democracy collapses. Does history actually repeat itself, or does it simply rhyme? In this course we will attempt to answer these and other questions, with lecture and interactive classroom discussion.
Silver Member: $90; Gold Member: $81.
