TEMPLE BETH SHOLOM

For more than seven decades, America has had a love affair with vocal groups from the Big-Band beginnings of The Andrews Sisters to the recent popularity of Boy Bands. We will listen to recordings and watch videos as we explore the history of singing groups. Class discussions will include the development of Doo-Wop (that enduring sound of the ’50s) and a trip down the harmony highway with the Manhattan Transfer, The Four Freshmen, and popular Motown vocal groups. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing and harmonizing with your favorites!
Silver Member: $95; Gold Member: $85.50.
