The Giving Partner

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Ringling College (OLLI) is proud to be listed on the Giving Partner profiles, a prestigious community and philanthropic program committed to helping area nonprofit organizations. This list offers those considering donating to the Institute a means to review the financials and all other aspects of the program prior to giving. Each year, the Giving Partner Challenge campaign — a 24-hour window in which donors can make contributions to the nonprofit of their choice — raises millions of dollars for area nonprofits, and our designation means that we will be a part of this campaign.

The purpose of a combined campaign such as this is that it provides potential donors with a list of vetted organizations. Through The Giving Partner, donors and funders can access current and detailed information about approved area nonprofits and use it as a tool to inform their charitable decisions.

The process of applying for Giving Partner approval is demanding. Each organization must provide comprehensive and detailed information on such topics as the organization’s history, governance, administration, financial management, core programs and other key information. The Partners are required to keep the information up to date so that would be donors have current information about the program and the people it serves in the local area.

Each year, as the time for the Challenge draws near, we will tell you more about how to participate and let you know the exact dates of the Challenge. Organizations with active and enthusiastic participation are eligible for a variety of built-in incentives by local foundations. We hope you will join us in this important and fun fundraising event.
