    JoAnn Spiegel has a doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. Her professional career spanned all areas of education from classroom teacher to administrator to college instructor. She recently taught lifelong learning classes at Carnegie Mellon University as well as at OLLI. Her current focus of interest is in all aspects of literature, including sports lit.

    Osher Lifetime Learning Institute at Ringling College (OLLI) is a division of Ringling College of Art and Design. OLLI operates year-round and is supported through student registrations and private contributions. OLLI courses are non-credit and primarily based on a liberal arts curriculum. There are no grades and no tests; courses are offered purely for the joy of learning. Students may attend classes at any of our locations, participate in Academy Talks, Einstein’s Circle discussion groups, and attend lectures and special events. Tuition varies depending upon course length.
