    Margaret Shaw is a graduate of the Marymount University School of Nursing (VA) and the Catholic University School of Social Work (D.C.). She is a nurse, psychotherapist, writer, and lover of animals. Born in Washington, D.C., the focus of her early clinical work was predominantly in the Washington metropolitan area. Today, Sarasota is home.

    Osher Lifetime Learning Institute at Ringling College (OLLI) is a division of Ringling College of Art and Design. OLLI operates year-round and is supported through student registrations and private contributions. OLLI courses are non-credit and primarily based on a liberal arts curriculum. There are no grades and no tests; courses are offered purely for the joy of learning. Students may attend classes at any of our locations, participate in Academy Talks, Einstein’s Circle discussion groups, and attend lectures and special events. Tuition varies depending upon course length.
