When you think of a “student,” what comes to mind? A pink cheeked young person pouring over a book or computer? Or, do you imagine yourself as curious, enthused, and energized about topics focused on your very own interests?
Many of our Lifelong Learning Academy (LLA) “students” are redesigning their lives. LLA offers many opportunities to pursue new or ongoing interests. You may even be drawn toward teaching an LLA class.
Many of you will remember the classic school children’s rhyme:
“No more pencils,
No more books,
No more teachers’ dirty looks!”
On your LLA journey, you may likely recite a new rhyme:
“School is starting,
A new life has begun.
Renew learning and have some fun.”
School is not out but, instead, LLA learning is in!
